REDDITCH town centre is set to get a new home and garden superstore this spring, with the arrival of The Range.
The homeware giant is coming to Redditch thanks to a deal negotiated by Capital & Regional, owners of the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
The Range, which will be opening in the Kingfisher Centre in the coming months, stocks more than 65,000 products across 16 different departments, from homewares and furniture, through to DIY and art supplies.
The new store, the Centre’s biggest retail letting since Primark opened in 2007, will open in the former BHS unit on Park Walk just opposite Marks and Spencer.
Ken Williams, the Kingfisher Shopping Centre’s general manger, comments: “We’re thrilled The Range has chosen Redditch to open its next store.
“We are always striving to improve the Centre, striving to create a great shopping environment for our customers.
“This new addition is the perfect fit for this space because it adds to our varied retail mix.”
New jobs
Chris Dawson, owner and founder of The Range, added: “The new store will create around 80 full and part-time jobs for the local area.
“Opening a new store is always an exciting moment for the company so it is very exciting that we are coming to Redditch. The Range is a unique shopping experience that has something for everyone and I am sure that the new store will be a welcome addition to the local area.”
The Range is the one of the fastest growing home, leisure and garden retailers in the UK with over 130 stores nationwide.
