A REDDITCH care home enjoyed page-turning fun this week when nursery children shared a special interactive story.
The team and residents at Brambles Residential Care Home in Birchfield Road welcomed youngsters, aged three to four, from Ragamuffins Day Nursery in Webheath to celebrate National Storytelling Week.
To celebrate on Monday (February 6), the young visitors performed the fairy tale The Gingerbread Man, with homemade masks to help them jump into character.
Betty Wretford, a 90-year-old resident, said: “I adored the performance. The children were fantastic and so sweet.”
Following their rendition, residents gave the children an insight into what novels they enjoyed as youngsters,
“We talked about the novels I used to enjoy – Uncle Tom’s Cabin and Beatrix Potter were my favourites,” added Pearl Bishop, aged 89.
