IT was eyes to the starry skies at a Redditch school last week as students learned about the great beyond.
Youngsters at Beoley First School took part in a PTA organised star-gazing evening last week to learn about space, stars and the possibility of extraterrestrials.
Children from all year groups, accompanied by parents and guardians, heard a story by the fire, designed and made aliens and played ‘beam-tag’ using torches.
The group of 30 students also enjoyed some hot chocolate while watching some footage of stars and space.
Headteacher Sally Davies said: “It was a fun, informative and entertaining evening for everyone involved.
“The children really enjoyed learning about space and trying our star-gazing – some of them for the very first time.”
