Call to unite - people needed to change the life of ex-soldier in Redditch

PEOPLE are desperately needed to help complete a project which aims to improve the life of a seriously ill Redditch man.

Staff from building specialists TH Development are calling for kind-hearted and energetic workers and builders to join them in the life-changing project to fix up a downstairs bathroom for ex-soldier Lee Hart, who is seriously ill with a brain tumour.

Plumbers, plasterers, electricians, roofers, labourers and builders are all sought to help create a downstairs bathroom to help the 39-year-old, who was diagnosed with the tumour in November 2016.

The treatment is badly affecting his balance and the interiors company want to kit out a downstairs washroom, complete with walk-in shower so that Lee can continue to live at home with his wife Melissa, safely and in comfort.

On March 20, the staff from TH Developments will be setting up shop at Lee’s home in Headless Cross to transform the garage into an accessible washroom space.

So far almost £4,000 has been raised and the whole team from North Moons Moat Industrial Estate alongside flooring and decorating specialists have been secured, but more are needed to complete the project on time.

A spokesperson on behalf of Melissa and Lee from TH Developments UK Ltd said: “We really need people to come forward to help us with this amazing project. It’s the final push now and we can’t wait to get started, but we really need more people behind us to make it happen.

“Anything that can be offered would be a great help, nothing is too small. We still require a chief tea maker, sweeper, onsite entertainer amongst other skilled trades. This is where the community spirit can really shine.”
