A MAN has died after a car left the road and hit a tree this morning (Thursday, March 16).
The incident happened on the A422 Stratford Road near Upton Snodsbury.
For people in Redditch the road is an alternative route to Worcester via Inkberrow and avoiding the M5 motorway.
West Midlands ambulance Service received the call shortly after 8.50am and immediately dispatched two ambulances and a support officer.
A spokesman said: “On arrival crews discovered a car had collided with a tree and a man trapped inside.
“Crews assessed the man in the car but unfortunately it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“There were no other patients from the incident.”
