A BIG-hearted Studley High School pupil has donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust which makes wigs for children suffering with cancer.
Year seven’s Libby Harding had around nine inches of hair cut and in the process raised around £100 to go towards making the wigs for the boys and girls who desperately need them.
She first became aware of the charity when a girl from her primary school donated her hair.
She was so inspired she researched further into the trust and decided it was something she wanted to do too.
“I donated my hair because there are people in the world who aren’t as lucky as me, such as children suffering with cancer, and they would really appreciate it if I gave up something that they need more than I do.
“The charity is important to me because they are really supportive and caring towards the girls and boys who are less fortunate than me.
“Additionally, the lady who started the charity had a daughter who suffered from hair loss during cancer and sadly died later on, so there’s a story behind the charity too.”
