POLICE are seeking witnesses after a 60 year-old woman was robbed in Redditch by a man armed with a knife – while exposing himself.

A woman in her 60s was walking with her dog along a path that runs between Bomford Hill Park and Redstone Close at around 6.10am on Thursday (23 March) when she was approached by a man.

The man, who was holding a weapon – believed to be a knife – demanded the victim hand over her personal belongings. He is understood to have been exposing himself at the time.

The victim’s dog jumped towards the man who then fled the area. Nothing was taken and the victim was uninjured but left shaken up by the incident.

The man is white, around 30 years old, and 6ft tall. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark trousers at the time.

Enquiries are currently ongoing but officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident or anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 057S of March 23.
