LOCAL runner Helen Tuite of Church Hill North is taking part in the Solihull Half Marathon this Sunday (April 2) to raise money and awareness for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in memory of her late father, Jim Tuite.
Helen said: “My father was diagnosed with MS when he was 42, and suffered for over 40 years. I just want to do my bit to help other people who have this terrible disease.”
MS affects more than 100,000 people in the UK and local branches of MS Society provide practical help, support groups and advice for sufferers and their families.
The society is also appealing for people to take part in the Great Birmingham Run in October on its behalf.
