A REDDITCH business teamed up with charity Homestart last week for multi-faceted fund-raising afternoon with a cinema, car wash and bake sale.
On Saturday (March 25) electrical experts at Hughes’ buddied with the local branch of the charity Homestart, offering hand-car washing, homemade cakes, refreshments and a Disney cinema in exchange for donations.
Between them they raised £113.41 and a spokesperson for Hughes’ said: “The team, as well as local support from the community, worked tirelessly in support of the great charity.
“The event was a great success and it was great work and dedication from our local team of techies at the Hughes branch.”
Homestart is one of the leading family support charities in the UK and their volunteers help families with young children dealing with various life challenges. They also support parents as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children.
