Grant offer to help Redditch companies get clean green energy

Ross Crawford 3rd Apr, 2017   0

BUSINESSES in Redditch are being encouraged to apply for free support and grants to help them to generate their own energy or develop clean technologies.

The Low Carbon Opportunities Programme is a chance for companies to get the help they need to install renewable energy systems or undertake low carbon innovation projects.

Small to medium sized businesses can be helped to generate their own renewable energy through systems such as solar panels or ground source heat pumps, which will reduce their costs, their carbon emissions and their reliance on energy from the grid.

Other businesses might be helped with the development of new, innovative technologies which will help others to save energy or reduce their waste.

The business support programme, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), is being run by Worcestershire County Council.

To be eligible, businesses must:

· Be situated in and trading from Worcestershire

· Employ fewer than 250 employees

· Have a turnover of less than the equivalent of 50 million Euros per annum or an annual balance sheet of less than 43 million Euros
