A FAMILY fun day will be held at Studley Leisure Centre to raise awareness of bowel cancer after young woman’s fiance was shockingly diagnosed last month.
The event is taking place on bank holiday Monday (May 29) between 1pm and 5pm, with lots on offer including a bake sale, a bouncy castle and raffle prizes.
It’s all be organised by Claire Vipond, whose partner, George Hands, was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor last month.
Claire wants anyone with any concerns to seek medical help from a doctor straight away.
This event is just one of many, the first being a teddy bear’s picnic at Arrow Valley Lake held last Sunday (April 23).
