THE finalists of Redditch’s prestigious annual talent contest have been announced – and from musicians to skipping champions, the show promises not to disappoint.
Redditch Has Talent, now in its third year, will see 15 acts appear on the main stage the Palace Theatre next month to battle it out for the top spot.
Featuring a selection of hand-picked contestants who have come through the audition process covering a variety of artistic endeavours, the finalists are:
Lewis Bennet – singer
Olivia Lizomon – dancer
Julia Gulbicka – singer
Will Lane – guitarist
Daisy Empson and Megan Russell – dancers
Caitlin Speirs – skipper
Kirsty Vale – singer
Laura Johnson – singer
Emily Shakels – singer
Nathan Chapman – singer
Ellie-Mae Vickridge – guitarist and singer
Alice Bull – singer
Ben Adams – singer
Molly Gilmartin and Rachael Kennedy – singers
Dan Sun – singer
The talent show has four age categories – 10 to 13, 14 to 16, 17 to 18 and 19-plus and from 7pm on June 29, they will be strutting their stuff onstage before the panel of four judges. One winner from each age group will be chosen and as well a performance from each of the 15 acts, there will a guest appearance from Redditch-based belly-dancer Amira too.
Redditch Has Talent producer, Dave Wilkins said: “We can’t wait for people to see our finalists in the show and spread the message that Redditch really does have talent.
“We always aim to discover potential stars of the future and this year promises to reveal even more talent than the last.”
