WOULD-BE thieves made a sharp exit after they broke into a home in High house Lane, Tardebigge.
For after searching the lounge and dining room they made their way upstairs to find the elderly resident in bed, who shouted at them.
Empty handed, they quickly escaped, driving off in a small silver car which they’d left at the end of the drive.
The incident happened at 9.10pm on Tuesday night (May 30), the raiders gaining entry by first smashing a pane of glass in the door before kicking it, breaking the door and the frame.
