STEP out and explore Redditch in a variety of different ways with the Redditch Ramblers Walking Festival.
From June 24 to July 2, a series of unusual and specialist walks have been organised by the Ramblers in a bid to get people out and about and enjoying what Redditch has to offer.
Whether you fancy trying a boozy six-mile Ramb-ale ramble, a history-based Redditch Remembered walk or a stroll taking in some of the best of Feckenham Nature, there is something for all tastes on the schedule.
Most of the circular walks – which range from three miles to 12 miles – take in a pub or a rest stop along the way and all will be led by an experienced walk leader.
Walks Co-ordinator, Paul Field, said: “The idea behind the festival is to encourage people to become more involved in walking and to show the many lovely walks there are in the local area. There so many walks on offer and people can enjoy the countryside, woods, canals and urban paths which are all on our doorstep.
“Walking is a great way to get and keep fit, socialise and reduce the stress in your life. ”
Guests are advised to wear suitable shoes and clothing if they wish to join any of the walks – all of which are free – and even well-behaved dogs on leads are welcomed on most routes.
