FORMER Great British Sewing Bee contestant Jenniffer Taylor is getting set to inspire people in Redditch to up-cycle clothing with her very first book.
Using her own ideas, the book aims to teach readers how to transform items of clothing, customise garments and how to create patterns and make clothes from scratch.
Set to be released this week, “Girl with a Sewing Machine” is aimed at beginners and gives readers tips that Jenniffer has picked up along her own sewing journey.
Locally-based Jenniffer said: “My addiction to sewing began when I decided to design and make my own wedding dress. The experience unlocked my creativity and for the first time I found I was able to express my individual style. I could finally create things that I’d always wanted but never been able to get.
“I’m hoping my book will kickstart the readers’ own sewing revolution.”
Jenniffer runs regular workshops at the Old Needle Works in Britten Street, Redditch. For more information visit http://inkberrowdesigncentre.co.uk
