POLICE have appealed for help in tracking down a gang on scooters who stole a motorcycle parked in the McDonalds car park at Oversley Mill Service Station on the A435/A46 roundabout near Alcester.

The incident happened at 6.15pm on Wednesday, June 7 when the thieves broke the lock on the bike, then the steering lock before riding off on it with the rest of the gang on scooters.

At 7pm a police patrol came across the stolen motorcycle in Kings Coughton and at the same time three scooters made off from police along the A435 towards Studley.

Each bike had a pillion passenger and all are believed to been involved in the theft.

It is also thought that some of the riders may have just been carrying their helmets rather than wearing them.

A member of the public later reported an abandoned scooter in Marble Alley by the Co-Op in Studley.

Anyone witnessing the theft, the scooters parked by Broadlane Caravans in Kings Coughton or the three scooters driving erratically in Studley are asked to contact the police Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101.
