NEW recruits are urgently needed to help sustain Redditch’s Royal British Legion.
The club’s Poppy Day appeal is wildly successful – raising more than £30,000 last year – yet the work is being done by an ever dwindling group of diehards.
And you don’t need to have been a member of the Armed Forces to join, said Warrant Officer Paul Hall of the 37th Signals based in Redditch.
“It’s a great community group with a lot of benefits of belonging to what is a prestige organisation,” he said.
The RBL clubroom is at 25 Easemore Road which has with it all the benefits of a social club.
Both men and women can join and there’s a junior section for youngsters aged 14 to 18.
