REDDITCH based Ubi-Tech (3R) Ltd has been chosen as the preferred training provider to international communications giant Ericsson.
The news is a major coup for the company which has specialised in providing training for former soldiers in the very latest advances in telecommunications.
And it’s the latest success for the Far Moor Lane firm which was recently visited by Channel 5’s Hotel Inspector Alex Polizzi.
Alex was in Redditch on a follow up mission after inspecting the nearby Blue Inn for the popular TV programme 18 months ago.
The hotel had implemented all the changes suggested by Alex and shortly after Ubi-Tech had started using it for all its students and trainees.
Such has been the impact of the company on the Blue Inn that on her return visit Alex insisted on visiting Ubi-Tech’s offices before the staff joined her and her production team at the hotel for lunch.
“The fact that Alex considered us to be such a major factor in the ongoing success story to the extent that she wanted us to be included in the programme is a huge compliment to Ubi-Tech and naturally we are delighted to be involved in this success story,2 said Ubi-Tech’s operations director Mike Harbon.
Speaking on the new Ericsson deal the firm’s managing director Richard Lee said: “In an industry that relies heavily on manual processes, operational improvement is the key to remaining competitive.
“We are proud to provide Ericsson with bespoke training solutions.”
Chris Turvey, Ericsson competence and development manager, said: “I applaud Ubi-Tech’s continuing professionalism and motivation in playing a key role in the success of our Young Talent programme, which, I’m sure, will lead to a stronger and wider use of Ubi-Tech as a preferred training partner to Ericsson FSO.”
Ubi-Tech was also this month awarded the Best Telecom Engineering & Resettlement Training Experts title from Acquisition International Business Magazine.
The Blue Inn episode of The Hotel Inspector is expected to be shown in the autumn.
