STAFF, parents and children at a Redditch nursery have been pulling together to raise awareness of a disease that affects thousands of people in the UK.
Windmill Pre-school held a family-fun day to raise funds and awareness of the genetic condition, Cystic Fibrosis (CF) which affects more than 10,800 people in the UK, including one of their children.
With games, crafts and a big raffle to raise money for CF Trust, parents and local businesses all gave generously, both with raffle prizes and with collections on the day itself.
The nursery, which is based on the Vaynor First school site, raised £372.27 for the cause and Daniel Bignell, who helped organise the event said: “It was a really fantastic day and the children absolutely loved it.”
