Kate shines a spotlight on invisible illnesses for Alcester Panthers

INVISIBLE illnesses have been brought under the spotlight by members of the 1st Alcester Panthers as they work towards completing their Disability Awareness Badge.

To help them Kate Langwine-Cooke from Wrexham, the creator of Invisible illnesses page via Facebook, came to discuss the issue with the Cub Scouts.

Kate offers support and information for people with invisible illnesses across the world, including disabling conditions like Multiple Sclerosis.

During June the children completed tasks and challenges to understand different types of invisible illnesses, from lip reading and memory games to learning new dancing techniques.

And last week the Panthers held a Danceathon to raise money towards Kate’s £10,000 target for 2017 to combat MS, collecting an impressive £350 from three hours of dancing, helped by Embody Dance and Berry Ballroom.
