THE Future of Acute Hospital Services in Worcestershire will be decided at a Committee in Common of all three Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Groups on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.
At the meeting the governing bodies of NHS Redditch and Bromsgrove CCG, NHS South Worcestershire CCG and NHS Wyre Forest CCG will be asked to:
1. Approve the clinical model proposed for acute hospital services in Worcestershire.
2. Affirm the proposal meets the core principles of the Future of Acute Hospitals Services in Worcestershire programme vision that:
· Patients will receive the highest standards of quality care
· Services will be provided locally wherever possible and centralised where necessary
· Services will be integrated across organisational boundaries to provide a seamless experience of care.
3. Affirm the proposal has been:
• Subjected to a full and thorough public consultation
• Improves the clinical service and financial viability of the Trust
• Has met the NHS England Four Tests for Service reconfiguration.
In addition the governing bodies will be asked to make a number of recommendations on future staffing levels, transport, maternity services and the quality of services.
The meeting will be held at the Bromsgrove District Council Offices, Parkside, Bromsgrove at 9am on Wednesday, July 12.
The agenda and papers can be accessed on any of the CCG websites.
The meeting will be held in public.
The clinical model to be approved would rubber stamp the transfer of maternity services and Under 16 emergency care and child inpatient care to Worcestershire Royal from the Alex in Redditch.
