POLISH your driving ability at the latest skills day organised by Redditch & Bromsgrove Advanced Motorists (RBAM).
It’s on Tuesday, August 15 in Sainsbury’s customer car park in Redditch, just off the Alvechurch Highway.
The event, which is free to enter, will run for four hours from 12noon to 4pm and drivers just need to turn up and register to take part.
“The objective is to help boost confidence when parking in confined spaces but we also invite the more enthusiastic driver to demonstrate their skill at manoeuvring through a simple but challenging marked out course,” said David smith from the charity.
“We will also be providing free of charge a short Drive Assessment designed to give the driver a measure of their current standard of driving.”
RBAM is a registered charity administered by a small group of motoring enthusiasts whose main objective is ‘Promoting Safe Driving In Our Community’. It is affiliated to iAM RoadSmart (the Institute of Advanced Motorists) and are an authorised provider of iAM products and services.
Their patch covers the postal districts of Redditch and Bromsgrove through which there is an estimated 3,000 miles of drivable roads ranging from Motorways to narrow, winding country lanes.
“We provide confidence boosting sessions for motorway driving and a 3 part ‘Be A Better Driver’ programme aimed at revitalising your drive and awakening lost skills. And of course we operate the iAM RoadSmart Advanced Driver Scheme which leads to Membership of iAM RoadSmart and has the potential to reduce car insurance costs,” said David.
