THE Kingfisher Shopping Centre is hosting a party to kick off the school holidays as kids break up from school for six weeks of summer.
The shopping centre is pulling out all the stops to keep families entertained with a face painter, balloon modeller and a visit from Charlie the Monkey, the Kids Club mascot, who will be walking around the mall to meet shoppers on Thursday between 11am-3pm.
The centre will also be partnering with Bright Bricks, a professional Lego building company, for the ‘Make & Take’ activity where kids can come along and make a replica Charlie the Monkey out of Lego to take home. Make & Take, which is free for Kids Club members, will feature on Thursday and Friday between 10am-3pm, in Worcester Square, near Boots.
Domonique Lippett, marketing manager at Kingfisher Shopping Centre, said: “We want to make sure everyone has a jam packed summer while they’re off school, and this event is a great way to get celebrations underway.
“The partnership with Bright Bricks is extremely exciting for us, and I’m sure kids can’t wait to take home their very own LEGO® Charlie the Monkey.”
The Kids Club keyring must be shown on the day to take part in the Make & Take activity for free.
