CHEF of the Year winners Melissa Hay and Luc McMullan, saw their creations become reality when they were served their dishes by school catering staff.
The 11-year-olds, pupils at Woodfield Middle School, triumphed in their year cookery competition, which was to design dishes suitable for sale in the school canteen.
Mellissa created a dish of ‘pizza chicken’ consisting of chicken topped with tomato, cheese and vegetables.
She served the meal with homemade wedges and garlic bread, made with her own homemade garlic butter.
Luc made chicken drumsticks with a homemade barbecue marinade served with homemade baked potato pieces.
