A PICTURE of a common carder bee by Inkberrow photographer Rosemary Morris is featured in the 2018 Worcestershire Wildlife Trust calendar.

Rosemary’s snap, taken in her garden, has been chosen to represent July in the popular calendar.

It also features scarce butterflies, frosty landscapes, rare weevils and an autumnal nuthatch as well as Rosemary’s buzzing bumblebee among the 12 images chosen by WWT.

Wendy Carter, organiser of the competition for the Trust, said: “We had a fantastic response to this year’s competition with more than 330 images entered by 60 photographers and we’d like to thank everyone who entered.”

The winning images appear as full A4 pages in the conservation charity’s 2018 calendar with a further 20 photographers having their images appear as smaller insets.

The calendar is available to buy from the Trust’s offices or online shop now at £7 each. Visit http://www.worcswildlifetrust.co.uk/ .

All proceeds will directly benefit the work of the Trust to protect Worcestershire’s wildlife and wild places.
