Redditch crime round-up: More dash cams targeted by car thieves

A CRIME spree on Church Hill in Redditch in the early hours of Saturday morning, August 5, saw vehicles parked at four homes targeted.

In Wharrad Close, the nearside front window of a blue Ford Mondeo car was smashed.

In Heronfield Close a Renault Traffic van was broken into and sunglasses and a camera stolen.

In Loxley Close a dash cam was stolen from a Vauxhall Insignia car and then in Greystone Close a second dash cam, this one a Next Base 412GW Pro was stolen from a Vauxhall Antara car.




A third dash cam was stolen from a Ford Focus parked on Enfield Road in Hunt End over the night of Thursday, August 3, the thieves also making off with a Babylo pushchair, locking nut and car handbook.

Three men, described as white, had been seen in the street checking out cars and entering the vehicle.


Then this morning, Tuesday, August 8, a fourth dash cam was stolen from a car parked in Edgmond Close, Redditch.

Meanwhile in Towbury Close, Oakenshaw, thieves stole a TomTom SatNav and a pair of Vulgari Sunglasses from a Ford Kuga car over the night of Friday, August 4.

Between 3pm and 4.15pm the front a rear numberplates were stolen from an Audi car parked in Birchfield Road.

The thieves were two lads in their teens, one described as Asian, slim, with short black curly hair wearing a dark gilet, jeans, trainers and black gloves, the second was white, also slim with short hair and wearing a full grey tracksuit.

Finally sometime over Sunday night, August 6, thieves broke into a house in Lodge Road, Smallwood and stole a quantity of cash.
