HOW can you travel to unknown, fantastical worlds where bears drink spirits, witches are beautiful and your ‘inner-self’ takes the form of an animal? Get stuck into a Phillip Pullman book.
Staff at Waterstones in Redditch are hosting a series of book clubs and reading groups in the run up to the release of Pullman’s new book, La Belle Sauvage (The Book of Dust) which comes out in October.
To celebrate the author’s His Dark Materials trilogy, staff at the store in the Kingfisher Centre are hosting reading groups where the much-loved books will be read (or re-read) as part of a group.
Everyone is welcome to join one or all of the sessions and while the group celebrating the first book in the trilogy – The Northern Lights – have already met up, there are more to come:

• Thursday, September 21 – The Amber Spyglass book club
• Thursday, October 19 – La Belle Sauvage release
