A COUNCIL-run Parenting and Family Support Service in Redditch has been given a top quality mark for the services it provides.
The Council’s Family Support Service were awarded the CANparent Quality Mark in June, which is the only quality standard that has been developed for the parenting sector.
To achieve the award, the groups run by the service were required to meet a number of criteria, including being reliable to make a positive difference to parents, being recommended by other parents and being responsive, warm and engaging with parents to meet their needs.
The Support Service offer groups for parents and carers and one to one family support. They also work in partnership with providers within the local community to offer advice and guidance to all families.
