A REDDITCH company is offering help to local charities with staff ready to lend a hand to make a difference in the community.

The offer comes from metal pressing company Presstek Ltd of Pipers Road, Park Farm.

Company spokeswoman Sue Taylor said they were looking for a charity or charities where there staff could do a placement.

“We want to give something back to the local area and the local community,” she said.

“It could a placement one day a week or we could help different charities at different times.”

Presstek Ltd started out in Slough in 2008 but since then has rapidly grown, opening a facility in Redditch which currently employs about 20 people.

It is now one of the leading manufacturers in the architectural metalwork industry in the UK.

“We have done quite a bit of fundraising over the last few years and are looking now to take this in another direction,” said Sue.

Speaking for the staff she added: “We have all fully embraced the idea and this is something that will work through them and with them.”
