Appeal for witnesses after two injured in Redditch car crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an early morning collision in Redditch.

It happened at the McDonalds island on Moons Moat Drive around 2.30am on Sunday (August 20).

A silver Gen 2 Proton saloon was heading from Redditch town centre when it collided with a barrier on the island – causing the vehicle to land on its roof.

The driver of the Proton – a man in his 40s – was taken to hospital with minor injuries while the passenger – a man in his 30s – suffered what has been described as life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.




Enquiries are currently ongoing but police would like to speak with any witnesses to the incident or people who saw the vehicle and the manner in which it was being driven prior to the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 87S of 20 August.
