CHILDREN in Redditch were taken on an eerie journey of morality with Oscar Wilde’s tale of The Selfish Giant.
The Sea Legs Puppet Theatre performed a retelling of Wilde’s book, delighting youngsters at Redditch Library with an intricate stage set-up and musical accompaniment.
The story of the giant who casts the children out of his garden and builds a wall around it, only to be cursed with an endless winter, provided a gentle lesson in sharing for performer and puppeteer Rob Ashman’s young audience.
After the show, children and parents had the chance to meet and greet both Rob and the puppets.
