A TASTER session into the art of lampworking is just one of the attractions this Bank Holiday as part of Worcestershire Open Studios weekend.

Taking part is Astwood Bank-based Lighthouse Glass where artists specialise in making beads, pendants, flowers, animals and paperweights all from glass.

Now in its third year, the three-day Worcestershire-wide event will showcase original arts and crafts made by more than 200 artists.

Participants at 70 different locations across the county stretching from Alvechurch to Badsey and Colwall to Droitwich Spa and include The Jinney Ring Craft Centre in Hanbury, All Fired Up in Flyford Flavell and artist John Horton’s landscapes and panoramas in Crowle.
