POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a young girl was groped in Redditch.
The ten-year-old girl was at a park on Jinnah Road in Redditch with a boy and another girl at around 7.20pm on Sunday, August 13 when three men approached them and asked if they wanted to play football.
The group agreed but when the victim had the ball, one of the men, who was behind her, touched her inappropriately over her clothing. The victim was then kicked on the ankles before she left with her friends.
One of the men is white, in his 30s, of large build, about 5ft 3in tall, with short brown hair, which was spiky in the middle. He was believed to be wearing a black t-shirt with orange on the front at the time.
PC Carita Caldicott said: “I would like to reassure the community that we take all reports of this nature extremely seriously and we are keen to identify the suspects as soon as possible.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time to come forward. Any information, no matter how small, could be significant to our investigation.”
