A REDDITCH firm swapped recruitment for running and raised more than £1,000 for a local charity which helps youngsters engage in sports.
Recruitment firm Smart 1 and the UP Foundation partnered up when Smart 1 decided to extend their community vision beyond simply helping job hunters, and to do more for the community as a whole.
They teamed up with the local charity which provides positive energetic activities for young people to help them learn to believe in themselves, develop new skills, move away from unhealthy and anti-social behaviours, and progress in their lives.
In September Smart 1 took part in the Birmingham Fun Run alongside some of the young people that are part of the UP Foundation and raised a total of £1,025 for the charity.
“It was a pleasure for us to support such a worthy cause,” said director Mike Harper of Smart 1.
