REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean supported The Big Draw – the world’s biggest celebration of drawing – at the Redi Centre in South Street last Saturday.
The annual national festival runs throughout October, uniting communities through the universal language of drawing.
Since launching in 2000, the festival has taken place in more than 25 countries on seven continents, and brought over four million people back to the drawing board – and on Saturday Mrs Maclean put pen to paper at the South Street event.
“This is a brilliant centre doing so much for the local community, and I’m excited to hear about their plans for refurbishment to make it even better and brighter,” she said.
“It was great to chat to hardworking volunteers and leaders, whose commitment and dedication I really admire, and to see them promoting a great cause like The Big Draw.”
