GIVE a green gift this Christmas – and save some money at the same time too.
Trips to the tip can be a thing of the past for green-fingered Redditch residents as the Council launches a garden waste collection service.
From December 4 residents can sign up for the fortnightly collection which will run over 20 weeks from March to November for just £45.
And if they sign up before January 31, they can benefit from a half price set up fee of £10.
Borough Councillor Debbie Chance, whose portfolio covers Environmental Services, said: “I am delighted this service has been launched as it will make life easier for our residents and means less garden bonfires which pollute the air.
“And, if you’re doing a spot of last minute Christmas shopping this would make a perfect present for a family member or friend.”
