A TRIP to review Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Palace Theatre seemed like the ideal way to spend a snowy Sunday evening in Redditch.
However any idea that the ‘show must go on’ in theatre-land quickly dispelled as we found the theatre in darkness and the performance cancelled when we marched up to the entrance.
All was not lost though as the near deserted town centre was bathed in a beautiful light shed by the Christmas lights.
The only souls on the streets seemed to be a few young lads, some families enjoying the ambience and two homeless people huddled up in the doorway of the Three Cooks.
An unmarked police 4×4 then swept down Church Green West as we continued around the town centre triangle before returning to the car park by the theatre.
We took a few photos on our mobiles of Redditch early on a Sunday evening, it looked so lovely.
