FOLLOWING an incident at HMP Hewell on Tuesday afternoon (January 23) which resulted in the death of a man at the Alexandra Hospital, the victim has now been identified as 39-year-old Luke Derriman – an inmate at the prison.
Later that night, a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
At around 5.15pm on Friday, January 26, James Johnson was charged with manslaughter.He is also an inmate at HMP Hewell.
The Derriman family have been notified and have asked for privacy at this time.
