THE County Council has funding available to help owner-occupier households where the gas boiler has broken and the family is considered to be fuel-poor.
The cash has been made available through the Warm Homes Discount Industry Initiative by Agility Eco.
The project builds on the council’s successful Boilers on Prescription project which came to an end last year, resulting in expected annual savings of more than £300 per household receiving a new heating system.
The funding will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, before the deadline of the end of March 2018.
To access this funding, the household should contact Act on Energy on 0800 988 2881 – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Act on Energy will work with the householder to complete an eligibility survey.
