WOODFIELD Middle School in Redditch is just weeks away from unveiling a new 3G artificial pitch.
The floodlit pitch will have goals and markings for 11 a-side, 9 a-side and 5 a-side and will boast a spectator area and full height fencing.
The facility has been built with the aim of giving students greater sporting opportunities to develop their skills and will also help expand a programme to develop sport in the local community.
The 3G pitch project started at the end of October and, apart from a few days lost through snow, the contractors have made excellent progress and is scheduled to be officially opened on on March 23.
“We are so pleased to share our excitement at being the only middle school in the town and county with such an outstanding facility,” said a school spokesperson.
