THE President of Redditch Lions Club joins delegates from across the country at a special reception at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, February 28, to mark the 100th anniversary of Lions Clubs International and 100 years of proud service to local communities.
Wendy Pettifer was became president in July last year and was a guest at the event hosted by the royal patron of the Lions The Countess of Wessex.
Also at the event were some of the many Lions’ charity partners representing organisations which have benefited from their activities.
Redditch Lions help their local community through fund-raising and organising events such as Easter Egg raffles, Lions Fun Day and the Halloween Fun Run.
Lions Clubs International support major projects that address diabetes, youth, the environment, hunger relief, childhood cancer and sight issues affecting communities throughout the world.
