Redditch Editorial 29th Apr, 2018   0

THE Redditch and Bromsgrove branch of the RAF Association (RAFA) will be celebrating the Royal Air Force’s recent centenary with a special event.

The group will be getting together on May 11 when the baton representing the Royal Flying Corps will be arriving in Bromsgrove from the Royal and Warwick Leamington Spa Branch.

It will be met by officers and members of the Bromsgrove and Redditch branch before journeying on its way to the Worcester and District branch on May 19 where there will be a RAFA band concert at the Swan Theatre.

Residents are invited to Bromsgrove Sporting’s Rousler Bar, Birmingham Road, for the baton’s arrival.

The handover ceremony will start around 1pm and the overall reception is expected to end by 2.30pm.
