ORGANISERS of two charity running events in Redditch are looking for sponsors to help make them happen.
The Arrow Valley Parkrun Community, which puts on a weekly RUN, will be holding the Tag1234 and the Arrow Valley 8.5 in the upcoming months to raise funds for its chosen charity, Meningitis Now.
Tag1234, on June 22 at Morton Stanley Park, is a fun four-person team run for all abilities while the Arrow Valley 8.5 on September 8, will see runners do eight and a half park runs in one day at various locations – the equivalent of a marathon.
Since 2015, the events have raised £16,609 for charities, including Acorns, Charlotte and Craig Saving Heart Foundation, Action Research for Children and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Kevin Parsons, of the Arrow Valley Parkrun Community, said: “We are hoping to raise funds for charity and give something back after being blessed by having a wonderful free parkrun every week at Arrow Valley.”
