BHF charity shop still open for business - and aiming to stay in town

‘WE’RE not going anywhere’ – that’s the message from the British Heart Foundation’s town centre furniture store.

And the Market Place store is appealing to residents not to forget them for donations.

Assistant manager Neil Cole said trade had dramatically dropped off since it was revealed the premises were going to be sold.

However the business won’t be moving out until at least November and even it then has every intention of staying in the town.

“Business is down because people think we won’t be here for long, which is completely wrong,” said Neil.

The shop raises vital funds for the charity the British Heart Foundation.

Staff are happy to do furniture collections too and as well as selling reconditioned chairs, settees and tables it also sells unused and boxed electrical items.
