STUDENTS and staff at Trinity High School are celebrating outstanding results in this year’s A Levels.

The school has seen a significant rise in the number of top grades awarded to students in particular with subjects Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Sports Studies.

Top performers include Ella Bingham who got three A* in French, Philosophy and History and Lydia Wilson who also got three A* but in Maths, Biology and Chemistry.

A high proportion of students achieved or exceeded their target and have already gained places at their first choice universities.

High achiever Charlie Harris, aged 17, who got an A* and two A’s said: “I was a bit nervous before today but I am so relieved now.

“I’ve applied to Birmingham University to do Pharmacy but I’m not sure if I want to take a gap-year or not.

“The last two years have been fantastic and I’m really thankful for the support I have had from the school.”

Other students are going on to study a range of courses at higher level including French, Italian, Musical Theatre and Science.

Headteacher Adrian Ward said: “I am delighted for all the students on such an outstanding set of result.

“Trinity continues to ensure it provides excellence for all across a broad range of subjects and I would like to thank all the staff who have worked so hard to help the students achieve such fabulous grades.”
