TV sensations D-Day Darlings due to perform at Redditch's Church on the Green

TV sensations the D-Day Darlings are due to perform at Redditch’s Church on the Green venue.

The trio who brought 1940s nostalgia and patriotism into the nation’s living rooms with their performances on Britain’s Got Talent this summer are now booked to bring their live show to St Stephen’s Church (The Church on the Green) Redditch on Saturday, October 6.

The D-Day Darlings are a three-piece all-female vocal group who perform classic songs from the 1930s and 1940s, along with other patriotic anthems.

They were formed in 2008 by their leader Katie Ashby, whose 95-year-old step-grandfather Clifford Storr was an RAF navigator on Lancaster bombers during the Second World War.




Since coming together the group has performed all over the country, notably at The Imperial War Museum and The Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance.

In fact, The Darlings are registered fundraisers for the Royal British Legion.


When they were asked to perform at the final Church on the Green concert for the 2018 season the trio agreed without hesitation.

Word of the event has been spreading and already tickets are being snapped up.
