IT will be full steam ahead for what will be the 45th Redditch Model Railway Show this weekend at Trinity High School in Redditch town centre.
More than 40 stands will be on display including high quality layouts in gauges from N to 0 with layouts travelling to the event from as far afield as Barnstaple, Scarborough and Liverpool together with full trade support and railway modeling demonstrations.
Layouts on show will include the club’s award winning layout Oakenshaw which took more than five years to build and has been a hit with visitors wherever it has been shown.
With the 150th anniversary of the opening of the railway between Redditch and Evesham there will also be a model of the former Studley and Astwood Bank Station on show.
“This will be the 45th Redditch Model Railway Exhibition and each year it is proving to be very popular with visitors who travel from all over the country to the show,” said exhibition manager Guy Craddock.
“We hope many more will visit this year to make the event even better.”
It’s next weekend, September 15 to 16 from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
There will be ample parking and admission is £5.50 for adults, £5 for senior citizens, £2 for children with family tickets at £14.
