ALCESTER residents are being invited to nominate for this year’s Mayor’s Civic Awards to be announced in November.
The Mayor will be presenting awards for Citizen of the Year, Organisation of the Year and Young Person of the Year.
Nomination forms are available on the Town Council website and from the council office in Globe House.
“We are extremely lucky to have so many people who give up their time and contribute to the town’s excellent community spirit,” said town Mayor Councillor Andrew Foster.
“The Mayor’s Civic Awards Evening provides an opportunity to celebrate their achievements, and I am keen to hear from as many people as possible so that their contributions can be recognised.”
The deadline for nominations is Friday October 19 with the Awards Evening set for November 30.
The Mayor is also holding his Civic Service at St Nicholas’ Church next Sunday, September 23, at 11am.
Everyone is invited to join him at the church.
