Battle of Trafalgar will be celebrated in style today with town centre parade

THE Battle of Trafalgar will be celebrated in style today (October 14) when Warwickshire District and Redditch and Bromsgrove Sea Cadets parade through Redditch town centre.

Everyone is invited to see the parade, which will be accompanied by the band of the Mercian Regiment.

This is the 213th anniversary of Trafalgar and the day will also be a celebration of Lord Nelson.

The Cadets will parade from the Easemore Road entrance to Trinity High School at 1.15pm then march to St Stephen’s Church were the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Worcestershire will inspect them at 1.30pm.




The cadets will then march back to Trinity High at 3pm.

“The Cadets are asking for people to come along and show their support,” said commanding officer Sub Lieutenant James Sanders RNR.


Redditch and Bromsgrove Sea Cadets are based at TS Kingfisher, Upper Crossgates Road, Park Farm, Redditch.
