A LOCAL care company has battled its way to the finals of the Great British Care Awards.
Valuing Individual People are finalists in two categories at the grand final which will be held at Edgbaston Stadium next month.
VIP has day centres in Redditch and Bromsgrove specialising in supporting people to live well with all types of dementia, sensory impairments and disabilities, have been providing affordable care since January 2015.
Interviews will be held on Monday (October 22) and the overall winners will be announced at the gala night on November 30 at Edgbaston, the home of Warwickshire CCC.
VIP’s success is all the more remarkable as it comes against a backdrop of more local authorities across the country closing their funded day centres.
Care manager Paula Watts said: “I am so proud of the team to be nominated for the Great British Care Awards.
“The team are all very hard working and are all looking forward to the outcome of the finals evening.”
